CM congratulates National Award winners from state
Kolkata: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday congratulated the three film personalities who have been adjudged as National Award winners. She also expressed her happiness as Bengal has once again achieved a significant milestone in the film arena.
Taking to Twitter, Banerjee said: "I am very happy to share with all of you that Bengal has received three National Awards this year: Churni Ganguly for Best Dialogue for Tarikh, Indraadip Dasgupta for Jury Award for Kedara and Srijit Mukherjee for Best Regional Film (Bengali) Award for Ek Je Chhilo Raja." Banerjee also added: "Heartiest congratulations and best wishes to all."
It may be mentioned here that announcement of the 66th National Film Awards was made in New Delhi earlier in the day. The Chief Minister has always backed the Bengal film industry and has also introduced various schemes and healthcare facilities for the artistes in the state.
