CID grills Mukul Roy over TMC MLA murder

Kolkata: BJP leader Mukul Roy has been interrogated for more than three hours by the state Criminal Investigation Department (CID), in connection with the murder of Trinamool MLA Satyajit Biswas.

Roy was summoned to appear before the CID officers for interrogation on March 6, but had sent a letter through his lawyer seeking further appointment as he had gone to Delhi for an urgent meeting.

On Thursday, Roy went to Bhabani Bhavan at around 11 am. Sources informed that he was asked about his relation with Biswas. He was also asked when he met Biswas last before his murder. On February 9, 2019, Biswas was shot during the inauguration of a Saraswati Puja pandal at Majdia in Nadia.
