Cabinet meet rescheduled to Sept 8 for CM's Uttar Kanya visit

Kolkata: The Cabinet meeting has been rescheduled on September 8 that was earlier scheduled to be held on the 13th of the month.
It may be mentioned that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had announced on Tuesday that she would be holding a meeting in Uttar Kanya as a continuous process of the dialogues that began with all political parties from the Hills for restoration of peace. The
meeting in North Bengal is scheduled to be held on September 12.
According to the sources, it would not be possible to hold the Cabinet meeting on September 13 since the Chief Minister has to visit North Bengal a day ahead. So the meeting has been rescheduled and it is going to be held on September 8.
The Chief Minister on Tuesday had urged all the political parties from the Hills to withdraw the bandh that had been continuing for the past 79 days and to restore peace immediately so that development work can be initiated once again.
There are many crucial issues that are going to be discussed in the Cabinet meeting and it is more crucial as it is ahead of Durga Puja. The Chief Minister may direct all her Cabinet colleagues to take necessary steps so that people do not face any problem during the Puja.
