Cab driver death: Pillow with blood stains found

Kolkata: In connection with the murder of the cab driver in Baguiati, a pillow with blood stains was found on Thursday morning from a drain near the spot. The body of the cab driver was found on Wednesday morning at the drain.

According to sources, on Thursday morning, a conservancy staff of Bidhnanagar Municipal Corporation spotted something in a drain that blocked the waste water flow. When he took out the object, he saw it was a pillow with blood stains on it.

He informed the Bidhnanagar Municipal Corporation officials and local residents. Later, the police was also informed. The police officials have seized the pillow for investigation.

It is suspected that the cab driver, identified as Raja Das of Deshbandhunagar in Baguiati, was killed and the pillow was used for the murder.

The police have already detained a few persons and interrogated them. Primary suspect of the cops is a Das's friend with whom the deceased had spent sometime on Wednesday. However, the suspect has denied the allegations. Police are checking the mobile phone tower locations of the suspects to find their locations on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
