Burdwan: Trinamool suspends local leader

Kolkata: A local Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader in Burdwan, Sheikh Mohsin, has reportedly been suspended for five years for making some remarks which were essentially against the party.

He had earlier threatened to quit Trinamool if the block president was not selected as the list given by the MLA.

Reportedly the district TMCPresident on Saturday announced the suspension of the local

leader. The suspended leader did not, however, make any remarks on his suspension. Mohosin had publicly made statements on the selection of district president before the party made any official announcement in this regard.

Action has reportedly been taken as he spoke against the party line.
