BNCCI delegation leaves for Russia today to promote heritage tourism

Kolkata: A 14-member delegation of Bengal National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BNCCI) will leave for Russia on Wednesday to promote heritage tourism and the possibility of investing in Bengal. This is an initiative of BNCCI president Satyam Roy Chowdhury.

The delegation will be visiting Moscow and St. Petersburg from August 30 to September 4. The delegation consists of members from different trade and commerce activities in Bengal, from real estate to medicine, education, poultry firming etc. The delegation shall have one-to-one exchange meetings with Moscow Chamber of Commerce and different trade bodies of Russia.

It will also promote cultural and heritage tourism schemes of the state government and other investment opportunities in Bengal, as inspired by the Chief Minister. The delegation shall also promote Durga Puja tourism to the Russian Confederation of Tourism Operators.

The delegation on Tuesday met Alexey Idamkin, Consul General of The Russian Federation.
