BJP threat posters against Dibyendu Adhikari

Kolkata: Posters by the BJP Yuva Morcha threatening to kill Trinamool Congress MP Dibyendu Adhikari have created a flutter among the rank and file of the party in East Midnapore district on

Monday.

The district administration has started an inquiry following the complaint lodged by the MP.

It may be mentioned that Adhikari's name came to the head after state BJP president Dilip Ghosh was heckled by some unknown people alleged to be Trinamool supporters near Contai bus atand last week.

The posters written in red ink resemble those put up by the Maoists some years ago.

The BJP Yuva Morcha has denied its involvement in the matter.

While locals saw some posters near Machbazar area of Halia, the others were seen near Haldia Township and Hadia Institute of Technology.

They informed local Trinamool leaders who took up the matter with the district administration immediately.

It may be mentioned that after the incident in which Dilip Ghosh was heckled, there were threat letters addressing the family members of Adhikari

on social media.

Though police was informed, no one has been arrested as yet in the incident.

When asked about Monday's incident senior administrative officials said they were looking into the matter.
