Bengal IAS ranks see major reshuffle

Kolkata: In a reshuffle in the IAS ranks of Bengal, Atri Bhattacharya, Principal Secretary of the Tourism department, has been transferred to the state Consumer Affairs department.

Nandini Chakraborty, who was posted as Principal Secretary of Food Processing Industries and Horticulture, has been posted as Principal Secretary, Tourism.

Tourism Additional Secretary and MD of West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation (WBTDCL) Tanmay Chakraborty has been posted as director, ESI, while Malda District Magistrate Kaushik Bhattacharya has been appointed as MD of WBTDCL.

P Siddiqui has been transferred from Finance Secretary to the Food Processing Industries and Horticulture department, while Secretary of Sports and Youth Services Chhoten Lama has been posted as Panchayat and Rural Development department Secretary.

Subhanjan Das, who was posted as Additional Secretary in the Panchayat department, was transferred as state Project Director in the School Education department, while Anoop Agarwal, Principal Secretary of the Self-Help Group and Self Employment department, was given the additional charge of Sports and Youth Services. Lastly, R. Vimala was appointed as District Magistrate of Kalimpong district.
