Bank employee murder case: Mutilated body parts yet to be found

Kolkata: Mystery around the brutal murder of bank employee Partha Chakraborty still remains unsolved.

On Thursday, a thorough day-night search operation was conducted by Domjur police station for the missing parts of his body. On Friday, a sniffer dog was brought to trace the killer, but that did not work. Police have not found out the body parts yet. Though police was unable to trace his body parts, investigators got some clues while checking the torso stuffed sack.

Sources informed that police found pieces of cloth inside the sack. Some sponge was used to wrap the body.

As per the assumption of the investigators, killers tried to hide the blood from coming out of the sack.

Later, a large volume of fabric pieces was used to cover up the dismembered body.

Investigators suspect that the sack might have fallen down while it was being carried on a motorcycle.

Though no concrete have been received yet, police officials are now investigating if Partha had any connection with the

tailors in the area.

According to locals, a large number people work as tailors in the adjacent area of Makardaha. As the torso was covered with such pieces of garments, investigators are suspecting that some tailor might be a part in this crime. Police are emphasising on the call records of the deceased.

On Thursday, it was found Partha had last spoke over phone with a woman. Police are still searching for that woman. Partha's colleagues revealed that their bank had loan transactions with some of the Self-Help Groups in the locality.

Keeping that point in mind, police are trying to know if the bank had any transaction with tailors as well.

Besides that, cops are also looking into the mobile phone last tower locations of people known to Partha and whether they had any communication with him over phone.

Investigators suspect the murder to be a result of someone's personal grudge.

On Thursday, Partha's torso, without head, arms and portion below the knees, was found inside a sack

wrapped with sponge and pieces of cloth.

Upon noticing a sack with blood dripping from inside, locals informed the police.

Later, when his colleagues approached the police to file a missing complaint, they came to know about the murder following which his identification was done by his family members.
