Around 8 lakh students to appear for HS exams today

Around 8 lakh students will appear in the Higher Secondary Examination which will start from Wednesday. This year, the number of girl students is greater than that of the boys. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee extended her best wishes to this year's Higher Secondary candidates. "Best wishes to all those who are appearing for Higher Secondary examination this year." the CM tweeted on Tuesday. However, West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) assured adequate security arrangements during the examination. The distribution of admit cards were completed and the candidates were informed about the venue of the examination centres. Kolkata and districts police were informed and were asked to arrange tight security arrangements outside the centres.
