Alapan gets additional charge of Information & Cultural Affairs dept

Kolkata: Senior IAS officer Alapan Bandyopadhyay has been given the additional charge of the Information and Cultural Affairs department on Wednesday.

The IAS officer of 1987 batch is at present the Additional Chief Secretary of the state Home and Hill Affairs department. He is also having the additional charge of Parliamentary Affairs department. Now, he has also been given the additional charge of the Information and Cultural Affairs department.

IAS officer of 1990 batch Vivek Kumar is the Principal Secretary of the Health and Family Welfare department, who was having the additional charge of the Information and Cultural Affairs department.

Now, with Bandyopadhyay being given the additional charge of the department, Kumar will look after only the functioning of the Health and Family Welfare department.
