2 held for trespassing at CRPF Bhavan in Salt Lake

Kolkata: Two persons were arrested from inside of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Bhavan in Salt Lake on charges of trespassing and personating a public servant. Both of them were granted bail by the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate's (ACJM) Court, Bidhannagar

on Thursday.

According to police, on Wednesday night, A K Nath, Deputy Commandant (Administration/Intelligence/CRO Ops) of CRPF Bhavan situated at HC block in Salt Lake, lodged a written complaint at Bidhannagar South police station against two persons identified as Kesav Majumdar and Sanatan Das for allegedly trespassing.

According to the sources, Majumdar had somehow managed to enter the premises of CRPF Bhavan around 7 pm on Wednesday. When he was asked for identification he showed an Identity Card claiming himself to be a trainer of

American Army.

After a few minutes, Das drove his motorcycle inside the premises of CRPF Bhavan.

He was stopped immediately and detained. Both Majumdar and Das were questioned to find out if they had any foul intention. When Das was asked for his driving licence, he could not produce the same.

Even after prolonged questioning, the duo could not prove their authenticity.

Later, they were handed over to police.

Both of them were produced before the ACJM, Bidhannagar on Thursday. Sources informed that the lawyer of the claimed they had no

foul intention.

He also claimed that Majumdar is mentally unfit and produced some documents regarding his treatment.

"He thinks that he is an Army personnel. He is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Chennai. Das went there with him. None of them had any foul intention," said Rajdeep Banerjee, lawyer of Majumdar

and Das.
