ŠKODA deliveries whiz 13%

ŠKODA Auto India achieved a 13 per cent growth in deliveries from 30,741 in 2011 to 34,678 in 2012.
'Despite challenging market conditions, we are confident that the Škoda range of products, anchored by our class-leading Škoda Superb at the top end and the acknowledged high-quality and value-for-money Škoda Fabia at the bottom end will continue to grow from strength to strength,' said Škoda Auto India Managing Director Sudhir Rao.
The company's resilient growth, in the face of of an industry-wide slowdown, is attributed primarily to the ŠKODA Rapid which registered steady sales throughout 2012.
Celebrating its first anniversary in India, the ŠKODA Rapid received positive recognition from customers. ŠKODA’s other products – Superb, Laura, Yeti and Fabia have also been contributing to sales. ŠKODA Auto India is working on its dealership network and after-sales service to enhance customer experience while reaching out to a larger section of customers across the country.
There has been a steady ramp up in providing service footprints across the country with 89 service outlets functional in 2012 to complement its 106 sales outlets.
