Kidnapper arrested in N-E Delhi

The Delhi Police arrested a man proclaimed as an offender by court in connection with the kidnapping of a 15-year-old boy in North-east Delhi’s Jafrabad area. 

According to the police, the accused, Salman, a drug addict, forced the boy to consume drugs with other boys and they all carried out mobile phone theft for him.

On March 26, based on a complaint by the boy’s mother, a team was formed to trace the call made by the boy from Salman’s phone to inform his mother about his whereabouts, said police.

During interrogation, the juvenile told cops that he had escaped from confinement by Salman. 

Based on local intelligence, Salman was arrested from his house on April 9. Charged in a case of murder, Salman was released on parole on February 15, but did not surrender, said a senior police officer.
