Khar postpones Dhaka tour

Pakistan Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar has postponed her Bangladesh visit scheduled for October 25 due to ‘unavoidable’ reasons, officials here said on Tuesday. ‘We have been conveyed that she postponed her Dhaka tour for an unavoidable reason,’ Bangladesh Foreign Ministry Director General Mashfee Binte Shams said. A Pakistani High Commission official also confirmed postponement of Khar’s Dhaka tour to invite Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to attend D-8 summit in Islamabad next month.
D-8 is a grouping of eight developing countries comprising Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan and Turkey.
‘A fresh date for her (Khar’s) visit is now expected soon,’ the Pakistani mission official said.
