‘Kerosene-free city a gimmick’

Leader of the Opposition in Delhi Assembly, Vijay Kumar Malhotra, has alleged that the scheme of Delhi government to make the city kerosene-free is just a gimmick, as hardly a few thousand people were benefitted. 'Over half of the population of Delhi has above poverty line (APL) cards and lakhs of cardholders, whose annual income is one lakh or less than one lakh, are holding the card without stamp. As a result, they neither get ration from fair price shop nor do they get kerosene oil,' said Malhotra.
