Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that his main target is to provide employment to 25 lakh youth in five years. “Our main focus is cultivation and manufacturing to create more employment in Kerala,” Vijayan said while addressing a felicitation programme in New Delhi by the Civil Society. The Chief Minister met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other two ministers on Saturday.
On meeting with the PM he said, “He assured me to co-operate to make Kerala more progressive. He has also promised to provide Kerala all the facilities.” “I requested PM to cut the air fare rate, so that people can go abroad for both work and education purpose. That would help increase employment throughout the country,” Vijayan added.
The CM also met Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, who asked him to focus on infrastructure development, particularly widening of the National Highways in his state. Jailtley raised the issue of land acquisition with Kerala CM Vijayan, who promised to take urgent call for resolving the issue. Vijayan has promised for a ‘transparent’ governance to the people of Kerala and asked them to co-operate with the new government.
“It is my first term as a chief minister of a state, so I would request all the people of Kerala, bureaucrats and party colleagues to co-operate with me and help me to provide them a corruption-free government," he said.
