Kejriwal to kick-start Lok Sabha poll campaign in Punjab today

After successful Lok Sabha election in Delhi, AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal will start his campaign for Punjab from Friday onwards. He will be in the state from Friday to Sunday. The former Delhi chief minister will reach Amritsar and visit the Golden temple on Friday, from where he will undertake roadshows in the city, Taran Taran and Gurudaspur.

He is also expected to visit Khatkar Kalan, village of martyr Bhagat Singh and campaign in Ludhiana for AAP candidate H S Phoolka. He is expected to be back in Delhi by 13 April evening.

AAP has high hopes in Punjab and Haryana and the party’s decision to form a SIT to probe the 1984 anti-Sikh riots has gone well with the Sikh community.

Kejriwal will also leave for Varanasi on 14 April and will camp in the temple city from where he is taking on Narendra Modi.

Kejriwal and HS Phoolka will take out a grand roadshow starting from Jalandhar Bypass- Dana Mandi on Saturday. The roadshow would cover several parts of the city.

However, Phoolka would accompany Kejriwal all through his Punjab tour from 11 April to 13 April 2014 in other constituencies as well. Kejriwal and Phoolka would be beginning their Punjab tour after paying respects at Harmandar Sahib, Amritsar and go on to other areas in Punjab.
