Launching a scathing attack on BJP for alleged horse trading to form government in Delhi, former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal has gone public. He is sending audio recorded messages to people of Delhi alleging BJP is alluring MLAs by offering Rs 20 crore each.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has released a recorded audio message of Kejriwal about the BJP’s desperate attempts to cobble up a majority in the state assembly through horse-trading.
This recorded message is now being circulated to the masses using different platforms available for disseminating audio information.
In a 37 seconds long message, Kejriwal has accused that the BJP is willing to spend crores to form government in Delhi which will be reflected later in power and gas bills. ‘The BJP is resorting to dishonest and highly unethical methods of trying to form the government by offering Rs 20 crore each to many MLAs. It is completely wrong. If the BJP forms the government using such illegitimate methods and by spending hundreds of crores, then such a dishonest government will only increase your electricity bills, indulge in corruption and price rise’, said Kejriwal in his audio message. Earlier also, Kejriwal had accused BJP of trying to lure its MLAs. He has also met President Pranab Mukherjee regarding the same and demanded fresh elections in Delhi.
In the Delhi’s Assembly elections held in December 2013, Kejriwal-led AAP emerged as the second-largest party after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The AAP won 28 seats, the BJP won 31, while the Congress could bag only 8 seats.
Thwarted from introducing the Delhi Jan Lokpal Bill, Kejriwal resigned 49 days after he became CM and recommended the dissolution of the State Assembly.
