Kejriwal demands installation of CCTV cameras in key NDMC areas

Former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday demanded that the New Delhi Municipal Council should install CCTV cameras at all important spots in the area. He also raised the issue of water logging in the NDMC areas at their board meeting.

As MLA from New Delhi, Kejriwal is a member in the board of NDMC, besides Delhi Cant MLA Surender Singh and New Delhi MP Meenakshi Lekhi. In the meeting, Kejriwal urged the council to fast track installation of CCTVs, which was agreed upon by the corporation’s chairman Jalaj Srivastava. Arvind Kejriwal also raised the issue of water logging in Sarojini Nagar and Pilanji village areas. He said the NDMC should insure that the drainage system in the area is overhauled before rains. He also raised the issue of jobs for the family members of NDMC employees on compassionate grounds. Family members of the deceased NDMC employees should be given hundred per cent reservation in corporation.
