‘Kedarnath can accommodate 5K pilgrims a day’

Kedarnath valley bore the maximum damage in the June 2013 disaster. The entire 16-km trek route was in a depolrable condition. But after two years, the condition of the stretch has improved a lot and the valley can now accommodate 5,000 pilgrims a day from base camp Sonprayag to Kedarnath temple.   
Rudraprayag district magistrate Raghav Langer said during his official visit to state capital on Monday, while talking to Millennium Post. He said the second phase of reconstruction work was going on at in pace at Kedarnath valley. The large influx of tourists and pilgrims has proved that the message of safe Uttarakhand has reached across the country.
