Karim Bencherifa to take charge at Mohun Bagan

Salagaocar’s Moroccan coach Karim Bencherifa in all likelihood will take charge of Mohun Bagan from next month after Santosh Kashyap resigned three months into the job. Bencherifa has earlier coached Mohun Bagan in 2009 and has been one of the better performers among all those who have been at the green-and-maroon dug-out during the past 5-6 years. Although Bagan officials are tightlipped about the development, it has been learnt that Benecherifa has been offered an astronomical amount to turn fortunes of the club. However, Bencherifa has to first honour his existing contract with the Goan giants till the end of this month. Bencherifa coached Salgaocar to I-League and Federation Cup titles last season.
