The students of Orchids The International School recently celebrated the Rath Yatra festival for the first time in Kolkata. The students took up the challenge of constructing a grand chariot by themselves as a part of their DIY curriculum. This engaging project spanned four days, allowing students to explore their imagination and learn valuable skills while preparing for the grand celebration. On Rath Yatra, enthusiastic students pulled the beautifully crafted chariot across the school playground and corridors.

Sharmili Shah, principal of Orchids The International School, said, “We are thrilled to have celebrated Rath Yatra for the first time at our school. The DIY curriculum allowed our students to showcase their creativity and problem-solving skills while imbibing the values and traditions associated with the auspicious festival. We believe such events play a crucial role in imparting cultural values in students and encouraging them to appreciate and respect the cultural heritage of our country. Such activities help us foster cultural awareness and create a joyful learning environment amongst students.”
