Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan celebrated Pongal with the faculty and students of IIT Madras. Prof V Kamakoti, Director, IIT Madras, welcomed the Union minister at the Community Hall, where he was accorded a traditional Tamil cultural welcome, featuring folk art forms.

ICAI recently deliberated on the growing role of chartered accountants in strengthening the cooperative sector and reinforcing its contribution to India’s economic development. The programme focused on how professional expertise in areas such as governance, financial management and compliance can enhance transparency and efficiency within cooperative institutions.
