The Centre for Health Science and Technology (CHeST) an initiative of JIS Institute of Advanced Studies and Research (JISIASR), in association with ICMR, National Institute for Research in Bacterial Infections (ICMR–NIRBI), recently organised ARAKSHA (Antimicrobial Resistance and Stewardship) at JISIASR campus in Kolkata. The conference addressed the growing global challenge of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) through a unique, community-driven approach.

IIT Gandhinagar Research Team has developed an advanced injectable hydrogel technology with promising clinical applications. Harshil Dave, a second-year PhD scholar in the Department of Biological Sciences and Engineering at IIT Gandhinagar and lead of the research, has been awarded the Vikram Sarabhai Young Scientist Award 2026.

Researchers at NIT Rourkela have developed an AI-enabled system that can track human sleep postures. This is useful in healthcare settings, as it provides a non-intrusive way to monitor patients while maintaining their privacy, even when they are covered with a blanket. The paper is co-authored by Prof Saptarshi Chatterjee, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, along with his BTech student Shiladitya Mondal at NIT Rourkela, and Dr Debangshu Dey, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, Jadavpur University.
