Juvenile held for murder in SE Delhi

A juvenile was apprehended by the police for the murder of another child, who was missing from his residence in southeast Delhi, police said on Monday.

The apprehended juvenile confessed that there was an ongoing personal enmity between him and the victim, who used to tease his sister. 

The accused was booked under relevant sections of the IPC. He was produced before the juvenile court and sent to an observation home, said a police official.

On 26 September, the victim’s sister reported to police that her brother was missing for the past two days. Next day, dead body of a juvenile, was found in an under-construction building at Khada Colony in southeast Delhi’s Jaitpur area.

According to the police, the accused along with his friend had convinced the victim to accompany them to an under-construction building in their locality, where they allegedly beat him up with bricks. They later left the victim at the crime scene. He later succumbed to his injuries.

The second juvenile involved in the murder is still absconding,’ the police officer added.
