The JNUSU on Thursday expressed that it will not accept the high-level inquiry committee’s report. The committee which was constituted by the JNU administration to investigate the matter related to alleged anti-India sloganeering on February 9, last week submitted its report and recommended punishment ranging from a fine to rustication. A resolution on this regard proposed by the JNUSU vice-president Shehla Rashid, was passed on Wednesday. In the meeting, students demanded the expansion of the panel to include representatives of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and women. “The accused students were not given the entire report despite their demand and it was leaked to media,” Rashid said. Rama Naga, JNUSU secretary said: “We have been saying that the investigation committee formed by the JNU administration has violated the principles of natural justice in the inquiry process.”
