Sunny Dhiman, a research scholar in Science Policy from School of Social Sciences, was announced as the presidential candidate from the union. For the post of vice-president, name of Mohini Kumari, a student of Modern History from Centre for Historical Sciences was declared. For the post of general secretary, the union declared name of Swapnil Singh, a student of Studies of Social System from the School of Social Sciences. Mukesh Kumar, perusing PhD in Hindi from School of Languages, was declared candidate for the joint secretary post.

Soon after releasing the list, Leni Jadhav, a senior office bearer of the union, said: “The NSUI will do remarkably well in this year’s polls and is hopeful for a victory.”
