JNU appoints new Registrar

JNU which is caught in a row over an event on campus against hanging of Azal Guru, has appointed a new Registrar. Pramod Kumar, an associate professor at DU’s Aurobindo College has been selected by a three-member panel to take over the position of Registrar from Bhupinder Zutshi whose tenure is coming to an end on March 31. Kumar, an alumni of JNU itself, will take charge on March 21. “I have been informed of my selection for the post and I will take charge from Monday,” he said. Zutshi, who was an officiating official on the post, will continue to work as a professor.
