Jewellery looted, recovered within hours

Jewellery worth Rs 10 lakh were looted from the house of a college principal here in the wee hours today.
The entire booty was recovered within hours and one person was arrested in this connection, SSP Preshant Kumar told PTI.
Four people entered the house of Principal Sukhbir Singh in Nitikhand area and decamped with the jewellery after assaulting the family members, he said.
Soon after the robbery, police swung into action, recovered the entire booty and arrested one person in this connection.
Two constables who recovered the jewellery were rewarded.
