‘Jessica Parker and Anna Russo are my style icons’

From winning the Miss India title to becoming a triumphant actor to an entrepreneur, Bollywood’s dusky diva, Neha Dhupia, has done it all. The actor believes in trying new things and not limiting herself to just one particular career choice. She is often seen pursuing challenging roles in the ever-growing film industry and believes in serious acting.

Millennium Post caught up with the actor at the launch of Marie Claire held recently in the national Capital for a tete-e-tete where she shared her mantra to success and a lot more. On being asked who is her favourite style icon, the actor replied,  “I love Sarah Jessica Parker and Anna Dello Russo .They are my style icons”.The actor told how she was always passionate about her profession.

“ I’ve never done anything that’s paid me in my entire life except acting so there’s nothing else I know”.The actor revealed that she has an array of favourite actors. “Uhh, well the choice is a tough one. I mean I’ve been a fan of Bachhan Saab to Naseer Saab and now I’m a fan of everyone, you know, from Ranveer Singh to Ranbir Kapoor. So it’s very hard. I think it’s the characters that people play that define the actors that you end up liking”.

Commenting on the importance of Yoga, the former Miss India winner said, “I do yoga about three-four times a week and then apart from that I workout everyday so, I dedicate 60 minutes to 75 minutes to working out no matter what I do”.

The recently turned entrepreneur, also talked about her new venture and the importance of being an allrounder in today’s generation and emphasised on having a self business. “Well I think a bunch of things. More than anything else, you need to have something to call your own, especially when you hit thirty so I think it is the need of the hour.

Being in the 21st century and not doing at least four jobs then you’ll not be able to cope with the generation that you’re living in. Hence, it’s very important to have multiple interests.Advising the new generation aspiring to be models and actors, Dhupia said “You have got to work bloody hard because there’s no other substitute for that.
