Jeev, Bhullar and Kapur tee up at Abu Dhabi

Bhullar will play with Richard Bland and Ricardo Gomez, while Kapur tees up with Damien McGrane and JB Hansen and Jeev plays with Chris Wood and Marcus Fraser.

The last time Kapur teed up in the Middle East, he was fighting to earn his European Tour card and he did that in style by winning the final event of the Challenge Tour. Now he is back in Europe’s elite alongside Jeev, while Bhullar made his way to Europe with good results in c-sanctioned events including second at Avantha Masters.

Even as Jeev seeks to recapture the form that won him some big titles on the European Tour, Kapur wants to start strongly here and Bhullar begins the season with a full card for the first time.

While Jeev has maintained his card comfortably, Kapur made his way back after missing out last year. Kapur came through European Challenge Tour, where he won twice. The stars of the event will be Phil Mickelson and Rory McIlroy, who will try to start the new season with a good result. Last year Mickelson won the British Open, while McIlroy endured a tough year before winning at the end.

Ryder Cup partners Luke Donald and Sergio Garcia are both looking to get 2014 off to a strong start as they look to cement their places in Paul McGinley’s European Ryder Cup Team to compete at Gleneagles later this year. Donald and Garcia have won five out of six matches in tandem against the United States.
