Jealous man kills straying boyfriend

When his partner cheated on him, a 24-year-old domestic help reportedly murdered his boyfriend. The incident involving three homosexuals was reported from the upscale Safdarjung Enclave on Wednesday night. The third person was also injured in the incident.

The three men, who happen to be friends, have been identified as the accused Madan [24], the victim Dinesh [22] and Sharavan [24].

According to the Delhi police, all three hailed from Jharkhand. The friends were having alcohol at the servant quarters in Block A of Safdarjung Enclave, when they started arguing among themselves.

‘Madan allegedly stabbed Dinesh and Sharavan after an heated argument that resulted in Dinesh’s death. Sharavan, who suffered injuries, was admitted at the AIIMS Trauma Centre,’ said a police officer.

Dinesh was employed as a cook in the house of a lawyer living on the first floor of a multi-storey residential complex in Block A, while Madan was employed as a servant in the house of a businessman on the second floor of the same complex.

During the night of the incident, Dinesh and Madan were having alcohol in the servant room located at the terrace of the same residential complex. One of their common friends, Sharavan, joined the two after a while.

Apparently, Madan accused the other two of having sex and soon started attacking them with a vegetable knife. He stabbed Dinesh thrice and also stabbed Sharavan when he tried to stop him. The accused fled the scene, leaving his friends bleed.

The police received a call around 11 pm. The duo were taken to the hospital where Dinesh was declared brought dead. Shravan is being treated at the hospital.

According to the police sources, Madan and Dinesh were having an affair. Apparently, a few months ago, Dinesh became closer to Sharavan. A jealous Madan had supposedly warned them earlier.

Cases of murder and an attempt to murder have been registered against Madan at Safdarjung Enclave police station. A team has been formed to nab him, said the police official.
