Jealous brother kills kin

In a case of jealousy between brothers, a young boy, 20, was killed by his elder brother, 25, out of rage. Imran, 20, the younger brother, died when his elder brother, Shahajuddin, 25,  stabbed him with a knife over an argument. The reason being negligence of the elder child over the younger. The incident took place at 9.15 pm on Saturday, at Chandni Mahal, in central district. ‘Shahajuddin was jealous of Imran, because since childhood their father preferred Imran over the elder brother,’ said an eye-witness. ‘His father, Islamuddin was also considering a girl for Imran’s marriage, which was one of the reason of argument when Shahajuddin could not control his anger and broke into a heated argument,’ he added.  ‘Shahajuddin lost his control in the argument and grabbed a knife, then immediately stabbed Imran,’ said a police official. Imran worked with his father in repairing air-condition machines, while the accused, Shahajuddin worked in sign board constructions. ‘Shahajuddin was addicted to alcohol, for which he was rebuked by his father lately’, said an eye-witness. Immediately, the victim was taken to LNJP hospital, in the emergency ward, where he was declared brought dead. ‘Shahajuddin has been arrested’, said a police official.
