A JD-U member in Rajya Sabha on Friday charged AAP party leader Prashant Bhushan with breach of privilege by briefing media on CAG report with regard to Reliance’s KG D6 Basin gas price fixation before it was tabled in Parliament.
Raising the issue during Zero Hour, KC Tyagi said, ‘Bhushan had organised a press conference a month before Parliament session in which he talked about CAG report on Reliance’s KG D6 basin gas price fixation.’
‘CAG report is a property of the House and no announcement should have been done outside Parliament and it amounts to breach of privilege,’ he said, seeking to know what happened to his notice in this regard. Deputy chairman PJ Kurien who was in the chair said, ‘It is correct. You had raised the matter. Privilege notice will be considered as per the procedure.’
