Jayaram, Tanvi reach 2nd round of Russian Open

Indian shuttlers Ajay Jayaram and Tanvi Lad notched up contrasting wins to reach the second round of the men’s and women’s singles competition of the Russian Open Grand Prix on Wednesday. Third seed Jayaram beat local player Kirill Timofeev 21-7 21-7 in a lop-sided match to set up a match against another Slovakia’s Jarolim Vicen.
