Jaswant’s new book puts Advani in dock

Former foreign minister Jaswant Singh is once again set to create a stir within the BJP with his latest book claiming that then home minister L K Advani was aware that he was travelling to Kandahar with terrorists to rescue the passengers of hijacked IC 814 flight in December 1999. Advani in the past had claimed that he was not aware of the move. Jaswant Singh was expelled from the BJP for his last book. Titled India At Risk, the forthcoming book talks about the BJP government’s widely-criticised decision to fly and release three Pak terrorists in Taliban-occupied Afghanistan to get the release of the hijacked prisoners. Singh says decision was taken at the meeting of the Cabinet and Advani was present at the meeting.
