Japan plays host to India Garment Fair

The fairs over the years have become a vital source for making informed purchase decisions by the Japanese buyers.

Osamu Tsugumi, Director General of Department of Commerce, Industry and Labour, Misako Hanauchim, Deputy Director General for International Policy and Coordination, Kansai Bureau, Ministry of Economy, Naiko Hojo, Deputy Director General, JETRO, Tsutomu Miyagi, President Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Hideyuki Nanbu, President Osaka Foundation for Trade and Industry, Gagan Rai, Chairman, Handloom Promotion Council and J Gunasekeran, General Manager, ITPO were present on the event.

Covering a gross area  of 3836 sq metres, as   many  as  110 participants  representing  Indian textile and garment clusters  are displaying their products in five halls.

The product profile of IGF includes woven and knitted garments for women, men, kids, casual wear, high fashion garment, occasional wear, sportswear, winter garment, fashion accessories, fabrics, synthetic and rayon fabrics, handmade fibres and blends thereof, cotton fabrics, woollen fabrics.
