Jamia VC welcomes girls of erstwhile boys' school

Najeeb Jung, Vice Chancellor of Jamia Milla Islamia will felicitate the first batch of 15 girl students who were admitted into the historic, all-boys Anglo Arabic Senior Secondary School in Delhi, nearly a week ago. The school made history by admitting girls for the first time ever in its 300-plus years of existence.

Jung, who is also the chairman of the school and president of the Delhi Education Society, will be felicitating these young students at a get-together on 1 June at 4 pm in Yasser Arafat Hall of the university.

The school in the capital's Ajmeri Gate area has produced the likes of Liaqat Ali Khan, the first prime minister of Pakistan, Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, founder of Aligarh Muslim University, J N Dixit, former national security adviser and foreign secretary, among many other luminaries.
