Jamia Millia Islamia names Metro station after itself

Jamia Milia Islamia university has decided the name of the Metro station, which is to come up in the campus soon. It will be called Jamia Millia Islamia station.
The under-construction station was earlier to be constructed on the gardens of the varsity but later the venue was shifted. The station in the area, which has poor transport facilities, would help thousands of people in Jamia Nagar, Batla House and Zakir Nagar.
The new spot is right where Jamia Nagar begins, near Engineering department and it would be closer to the residential areas.     Â
