Jaitley call records case: One more arrested

On Monday, Delhi police Special Cell arrested a private detective in connection with the case wherein somebody tried to access the call details of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Arun Jaitley. Earlier, a Delhi police constable was also arrested in the same case.
The detective, identified as Neeraj, was arrested from the Shahdara area of north-east Delhi. ‘Neeraj works as a detective in a private firm. He is a close associate of Arvind Dabas, the arrested constable.
Earlier also, they had accessed call details of many other politicians,’ an official said.
The duo is likely to be questioned together to find out the exact modus operandi of their work.
According to the official, the constable managed to steal the email password of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP). Later, his account was used to seek the call details of Jaitley after sending an official mail to the telecom operator.
