Jain asks Transport dept to bring several services online

Jain, who recently took the charge of Transport Department, held a meeting with officials and directed them to bring these services online. “In the meeting, the minister has ordered the department to launch online system for all its services which include driving license, permits, fitness certificates, taxes among others,” a senior government official said. The official also said the department has started working on the project and its blueprint will be presented to the Transport Minister. 

After Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Jain holds the second most number of portfolios in the government. Jain handled the Transport Ministry for 20 days when Rai was undergoing an operation to remove a bullet lodged in his back.
