Jail inmates take part in yoga day events

A record gathering of over 11,000 prisoners and staff of Tihar prison complex and Rohini district jail on Tuesday performed various asanas on the occasion of International Yoga Day.
“Tihar Central jail and district jail Rohini joined the celebration for the 2nd International Yoga Day with a record participation of over 11,000 inmates and staff,” a senior Tihar official said. The event is being recommended for inclusion into the Limca Book of Records 2016, he said.
Yoga will be included in the regular curriculum of the inmates’ activities as well.
