Special CBI court judge U Durgaprasada Rao granted bail to Jaganmohan Reddy on a personal bond of Rs 2 lakh and two securities of the like amount.
The judge directed Jaganmohan not to leave Hyderabad without the court’s permission and not to directly or indirectly induce or influence the witnesses. Besides, he was asked to be present before the court during the proceedings in the case.
The court said CBI can approach for cancellation of bail if Jaganmohan violates any of these conditions.
Meanwhile, the bail granted to Jagan comes as a big morale-booster for his YSR Congress party.
Jagan’s release from jail on Tuesday will not only revive the fortunes of his party but also give a new thrust to politics in Andhra Pradesh at a time when the state has been boiling over the bifurcation issue.
He is sure to emerge as the undisputed leader in coastal Andhra-Rayalaseema regions in the prevailing political scenario as his party has already been espousing the cause of a unified state, observers say.
