It’s a wrap! Leftover FYUP courses get final approval

The Executive Council of Delhi University passed the remaining courses of the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUP) in a meeting on Friday, that started at 10 am and carried on for two hours.
According to the University, the meeting was held to consider the recommendations of the Academic Council (AC), made at its last meeting held on 27 May. According to a source, ‘In the meeting, DC (discipline) I and DC (discipline)-II of History, Sociology and Home Science were passed.
It was also decided that the two-year post graduate diploma in Hindi Journalism will not be a one-year post graduate diploma. The DC II of Adult Education was also passed.
At the meeting, Executive Council member Aditya Narayan Mishra urged the university administration to give additional weightage to teaching experience of adhoc and temporary teachers at the time of permanent appointment.
Earlier, the courses of History and Sociology were passed with the provisions of revising them within three months.
The ordinances related to attendance in lieu of NCC (National Cadet Corps), NSS (National Service Scheme) and
ECA (extra-curricular activities), in addition to monthly uploading of attendance were also
passed.
