ITBF constable accidently shoots self near Ghulam Nabi Azad’s residence

An Indo-Tibetan Border Police constable suffered bullet injury on his foot when he accidentally opened fire while he was posted outside the residence of the Congress leader and Member of Parliament Ghulam Nabi Azad in the high security zone of Lutyen’s Delhi on Thursday evening. “The constable suffered a bullet injury in his foot while he was tightening the sling of his semi-automatic weapon which fell down and accidentally fired,” said Jatin Narwal, DCP (New Delhi). According to the police, the injured ITBP constable has been identified as Zakir Hussain. He was rushed to the trauma centre at Safdarjung hospital where he was stated to be out of danger.
