Irani felicitates CBSE teachers, mentors

Union Minister for Human Resource Development (HRD), Smriti Irani on Thursday felicitated Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) teachers and mentors for their contribution in the field of education as an acknowledgement of the role and impact of the teachers in shaping the future generations.
The Union Minister congratulated all the awardees and said that their contribution in nation building and liberating generations <g data-gr-id="22">is</g> unparalleled. ”Teachers are truly the pride of a nation,” she said. Irani suggested the CBSE to introduce some new categories for awarding the teachers. These categories include (a) Teacher who promotes performing arts; (b) One who brings change in rural India and motivates people for nation building; and (c) One who takes teaching beyond the boundaries of syllabus and inspires students for innovation.
She also called upon CBSE to collect feedback from students regarding their suggestions for improvement in the education system and submit the same for consideration by Ministry of Human Resource Development by <g data-gr-id="23">mid November</g> so that their input may be utilised while framing new education policy. She also directed CBSE to compile important suggestions, views and thoughts
during PM’s interaction with students to be held tomorrow and submit the same to the Ministry.
<g data-gr-id="17">Thirty Four</g> teachers from across the country and abroad were conferred the CBSE award for their innovations in classroom teaching.
