Interstate dacoits busted

South district police has claimed that it has busted a gang of interstate robbers, who were allegedly involved in dacoity of Rs 43 lakhs at Loha Market of Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh.

Chaya Sharma, DCP (South) said, 'Shyam Lal, Radhey Shayam, Sunil Shukla, Rakesh, Bharat and Guddu, the six notorious members of this gang have been arrested by South district police of AATS staff.'

She said, a team of AATS consisting of Sub Inspector Balihar Singh, headed by Inspector Hira Lal and under the overall supervision of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Kulwant Singh was formed to nab the criminals involved in the robbery at gun point.

During investigation it came to the attention of the police that some members of Ali Sher gang and Sudhir Kala gang have formed a new gang, which is being headed by a hardcore criminal Sombir of Ghaziabad and they were involved in a spate of car jacking and armed robberies incidents in Delhi and NCR.

On specific information, the accused  namely Bharat and Rakesh of this gang were apprehended on Sunday from Indira Market in R K Puram while they came to meet their other associates. On the basis of their disclosure, the other members of this gang, namely Sushil Shukla, Radhey Shyam, Chhotu, Guddu Sharma and Ghan Shyam, were also apprehended from Safdarjung Enclave near Kamal Cinema.
