INLD leader shot dead outside shopping complex by unidentified assailants

A 40-year-old leader of the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) was shot dead by two unidentified bike-borne men outside the JMD tower shopping complex in Gurgaon’s Sohna Road on Tuesday morning. The police have so far been clueless about the accused, however, it is being suspected to be a case of business enmity.

The deceased, Rajje Yadav, was also a property dealer in Sohna Road area. He belonged to Tikali village in the Badshahpur constituency of Gurgaon and he was in real estate business from a long time, said police.

A source further informed that Yadav was in liquor business too.

According to the police, Yadav reportedly had some work at the JMD tower on Tuesday morning. And as soon as he came out of the building and was about to board his SUV, two bike-borne men approached towards him and opened fire. One of the bullets hit the temple of his head and the other hit him on the back.

Yadav was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was declared brought dead. A case of murder was immediately registered against two unidentified men and later the case was handed over to the crime branch.

When the assailants fled the scene, the pillion rider accidentally dropped the gun there, which was later recovered by the police. However, the accused were not identified by the police till the time this report was filed, the police official added.
