Aam Aadmi Party might have delayed the decision on government formation in the national capital, owing to various reasons. However, now that the party has decided to take centerstage in Delhi, it is gearing up well to ensure that the city gets good governance.
In a bid to ensure that its inexperience in politics doesn’t become an impediment in dispensing duties, the party on Monday conducted an orientation programme in the national capital at Constitution Club.
‘We have conducted this programme for all our candidates irrespective of who won or lost the elections. We exchanged ideas with our candidates. Also, they were trained to behave like public servants and to transform politics. They were told to work for swaraj,’ senior AAP leader Gopal Rai said.
Rai also informed that he conducted the training programme himself. Around 70 copies of party convener Arvind Kejriwal’s book ‘Swaraj’ were distributed to those who attended the session. ‘The training was organised to help the MLAs and other party candidates understand the concept of swaraj and how they will work to ensure that it is achieved,’ Rai added.
Despite it being a busy day, Kejriwal and party member Manish Sisodia also attended the programme. The two also addressed the party workers at the event.
